Just start it. You’ve been putting it off long enough. You’ve watched the YouTube video. In fact you’ve watched 20 videos about how to do it. You’ve ordered a couple of books and even gotten half way through a couple of them. You told Bob at work about it. Sometimes you wake up with it on your mind. So, just get on with it already!
Make it…Write it…Play it…Paint it…Draw it…Do it already!
Amateurs sit and wait for inspiration, the rest of us just get up and go to work.
Stephen King
What do you mean ‘who am I to try my hand at that?’ What do you mean you have imposter syndrome?
Who were the Beatles when they started out playing as a cover band? Who was Van Gogh when he started painting at the age of 27? Who was Julia Child to write a book on French cooking when she was a terrible cook well into her 30s and she wasn’t even French?
So who are you? Who cares?!
Fake it till you make it baby! Pretend like you are who you want to be. Or pretend to make something until you actually do.
Don’t know how to fake it? Copy those that inspire you. Your heroes are your muses. Steal from them.
“Those who do not want to imitate anything, produce nothing.”
Salvador Dali
Don’t worry, you won’t actually be able to steal from them but you’ll create something. That’s the point.
Start copying what you love. Copy copy copy copy.
At the end of the copy you will find your self.

Once you get started, don’t break the chain (A strategy used by Jerry Seinfeld). If the chain breaks, it’s ok… get back on the horse and ride it to the sunset.
Tomorrow won’t be any easier, so you must start today. Procrastinate no more. You can do it. Get on it… Go.
